Pictures from the Mars Science Laboratory NASA Social at Goddard Space Flight Center

On Friday, we had the opportunity to join 25 other space tweeps for the NASA Social event at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD in advance of the Mars Curiosity landing which successfully touched down on Mars early Monday morning (Congrats NASA/JPL!).

The group at Goddard was joined in a live simulcast with 7 other NASA Centers across the country, and we had the opportunity to ask questions from the science and engineering teams behind the Mars Science Laboratory mission. After the simulcast, Goddard staff took us on a tour of its facilities.

Perhaps one of the coolest things we saw was the world's largest clean room, which is being used to prep for the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope. Below are some pics of the NASA social!
