New Profile of the Day: Khan Academy

Khan Academy is a website created to help students with educational topics of all sorts.  Founded by Salman Khan, the website provides thousands of videos covering a certain topic or subject.  With categories for math, science, humanities, and economics, the site goes through each topic one concept at a time.  Accompanying many of the videos are associated problems to work through, further helping people who may learn better by doing, than by watching or listening.

Khan Academy also tries to be useful for teachers.  One section of their website is dedicated to helping them with their classes.  It allows a user, usually a teacher, to see how people in their class are progressing through the site.  This lets the teachers intervene when they see a student is struggling, and help the student better understand the material.  To learn more about Khan Academy, visit their page on STEMconnector here today!
