New Profile of The Day: John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation

The MacArthur foundation is a Chicago-based private foundation, which awards upwards of $230M annually in grants and low-interest loans. This includes loans to over 200 local Chicago cultural institutions as well as "genius grants" to its MacArthur fellows. The Foundation's interest areas cover a wide range of topics, including reproductive health, international migration, juvenile justics, and community development.
