National Report on STEM Students & STEM Jobs — January 10th Release
On January 10th, 2013 STEMconnector® and My College Options® will release a national report of historic magnitude. The report, Where are the STEM Students? What are their Career Interests? Where are the STEM Jobs? provides an in-depth profile of over one million students interested in STEM majors and careers with detailed breakouts for all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The report links the diverse supply of STEM students to the significant demand for STEM jobs in the US, with an equally compelling state-by-state analysis of STEM job projections. The report discovered that STEM interest has been continually rising in high-school students since 2004, and an astounding 25% of all high-school students are currently interested in pursuing STEM majors and careers. There were 14.9 million STEM jobs in the United States in 2012, a number that is projected to rise to 15.68 million by 2018. Stay tuned to STEMDaily for more information about the report!
