Welcome to the blog for STEMConnector.org™!

STEMconnector.org™ is a critical network to link those advocating science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education across disciplines and distances. With the official site launch on November 30, 2011, the website allows key players to discover partners within STEM education across the country, to provide contact points, and to create both national and multi-national platforms to share and network STEM strategies and activities. STEMconnector.org provides a way for those running STEM education systems—program directors, government agencies, K-20 providers, industry partners, etc—to connect their ideas to improve STEM education on the national and international scale. About Our Director, Edie Fraser

Edie Fraser

Our director, Edie Fraser, is a business leader, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. Her entire life work has been to mobilize leaders for impact. She is Senior Consultant to Diversified Search, an executive search firm ranked number one in diversity hiring and track record results.  Over her career, Edie has founded organizations such as Diversity Best Practices (DBP) and the Business Women’s Network (BWN); served as a desk officer in the Peace Corps, written two books on leadership and philanthropy; and won 40 awards in diversity and Women’s Leadership.

Only one year ago, Edie was approached to catalogue and build profiles of “who’s doing what in STEM education.” It quickly became apparent that there was a need for a new way of connecting the thousands of people and organizations working on STEM nationwide. The concept for The STEMConnector™ Project expanded and evolved as others came together with Edie to create an initiative that demonstrates collaboration and communication across all STEM education pathways. She recruited a team of advisors, respected for their leadership on diversity, data collection, coalition building within STEM education, who are continuously working closely with private, non-profit, and public groups to build a comprehensive resource for all key stakeholders in STEM education.
